Home sweet home!!
I just moved today to my new place! It will be mine just for a month, it is a room with a double bed, enclosed wardrobe, little desk, plenty of space and it feels weird.
Last time I had a room like that just on my own was in Cairns, exactly two years ago. I'm not used anymore at my own space and privacy for so long after so long.
I unpacked my bag in the afternoon and there is plenty of space not used in the drawers and wardrobe, it just feels awkward having such a big place just for myself. It feels too big!
The house were I am at the moment, it's so nice. Once again international people, mostly backpackers on a working holiday from different nationalities and the atmosphere is just so good.
I felt welcomed from the first step I moved in the house, because of Tulia, the girl that was living in the room before me and because of my new flatmates, some very chatty and nice. It is unbelievable that you travel so far from your hometown and you end up to know that one of your new flatmate is from Magenta, 5 minutes drive from my small village in Italy and he actually knows already everything about me or so!
Anyway I'm writing from this incredible new house with a nice kitchen, living room and balcony where I can sit and have a glass of wine, admiring sunset over the lake Taupo.
At the moment actually nature is surprising me once again, painting the sky half grey and cloudy and half incredibly sunny and nice. It's raining with the sun, what an incredible welcome if perhaps a rainbow will pop out over the lake :)
Eheh and there it is, just not on the lake, but still quite bright and stunning!! pictures will follow..
Plus, speaking with travellers is so invigorating every time! I feel lucky and grateful, positive and peaceful.
I will try to write about my last 2 months of travelling in New Zealand and about places to see and experience. So far it's been good and I met interesting people :)
